MEET GARY LOXLEY
Gary Loxley currently serves as a judge on the Warren County Court.
Judges serve for six-year terms. He was appointed by the Governor in 2013 to fill a vacancy and was elected in 2014 to complete the remaining two years of the six-year term he was appointed to fill. In 2016 and again in 2022, he was elected to serve the full six-year term. Judge Loxley is running to be a judge in a different court, the General Division of the Warren County Court of Common Pleas.
Why am I running for judge of the common pleas court?
Election as a Common Pleas Court judge essentially serves as a promotion in my profession. Although I am not entitled to anything and take nothing for granted, there is precedent for my seeking a judgeship on the Common Pleas Court. The last three judges who served as a judge on the Warren County Court before me became judges in the Warren County Court of Common Pleas.
I am uniquely qualified to serve as judge on the Common Pleas Court. I will apply my knowledge, judicial experience, and reputation to represent the Warren County judiciary just as I have the past twelve years. Serving as judge on the Court of Common Pleas will be the culmination of my legal and judicial career.
What is the difference between judgeships?
I currently serve as a judge on the Warren County Court. The Warren County Court is a part-time court handling low-level criminal cases, traffic offenses, and civil cases not exceeding $15,000.
I am running to be a judge in the General Division of the Common Pleas Court. The General Division of the Common Pleas Court is a full-time court handling serious criminal and civil cases.
